Christopher Martino

My favorite things in the world are Music and Nature. Most of the time you could find me walking or riding around in a park listening to my music. I cannot sit still; I have to always be doing something. Those things usually involve activities, sports, exploring, and hiking. Writing stories and songs has always been a passion of mine. Although I usually don’t share these I am proud of what I have created. Since a very young age I have always found myself helping and teaching others. This eventually led me to the career of teaching, which I have been doing in NYC for the past ten years.

Maria Lopez

HOLA! I am Maria Lopez, and I am very excited to be working with the amazing GOAL students and staff this school year.
I have taught for several years both in New York and Norfolk Virginia.  I have recently started my 10
th year at the prestigious PS. 171
When I'm not busy with school, I love to spend time with my friends and family, dance, shopping and travel.
I have had a passion for the art of debate and couldn’t be more enthusiastic about sharing that passion with GOAL students We will learn, work and grow together, as a learning community and a family. We will become successful debaters, problem solvers and communicators this year. We will celebrate our triumphs and motivate each other as we face challenges.
